Incoming Students

New Educational Oriented Outreach Activity   

In collaboration with the Fayetteville High School,  the department of Mathematical Sciences will host a new outreach activity, aimed at (but not restricted to) those Math Majors who intend to pursue a career in education. Students who sign-up for this program will attend tutoring training session from highly qualified personnel  (ELC training team, MAT program faculty and Math Department faculty). The outreach is in the form of (1) Shadowing Teachers (2) Tutoring.

Structure of Tutoring: Twice a week (Tue and Thu), 3 tutors each time.

Subject: Algebra II and Geometry. Tutoring Sessions: 52 Min.

Admission to the outreach program is competitive and selective.

Pre-MAT students may count their participation as hours toward their CIED 4131 practicum course.
