The faculty and students at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Arkansas are engaged in a variety of outreach and educational activities, ranging from public lectures aimed at the Fayetteville community, to a mathematics-themed radio show on the local NPR station.

Math Majors have access to the new MATH LIBRARY, located in SCEN 350, full of hundreds of brand new, general interest books on a wide variety of mathematical topics, at a level any of us can enjoy and profit from.

For access to the Math Lounge all Math Majors need to apply to the main office in SCEN 301 for an individual entrance-card that needs to be swiped in the card reader installed in SCEN 350. This card will also give access to the Computer Lab across the Hall.
