How can we help you
If you are unsure of who to contact, you may visit our office on campus or send us an email at math@uark.edu and we'll try to get back with you as soon as we are able. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, closed weekends and University holidays.
For questions related to enrollment and class information, contact our Student Support at mathover@uark.edu. We require the student's name and University ID number to properly assist in any functions related to UAConnect. Official correspondence should also be conducted via the student's University email, if possible.
Prospective and current Undergraduate students may contact our Undergraduate Coordinator, Prof. Paolo Mantero at pmantero@uark.edu, about our major and minor degree plans in Mathematics and Statistics.
Prospective and current Graduate students may contact our Graduate Coordinator, Prof. Andrew Raich at araich@uark.edu, about our masters and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics and Statistics. Feel free to take a look at our Graduate Student Handbook for more details about our Graduate Program and Assistantships.
Undergraduate and Graduate students interested in degree plans with a concentration in Statistics may reach out to our Director of Statistics, Prof. Giovanni Petris at gpetris@uark.edu. Prospective Graduate students may also be interested in the Statistics and Analytics master's degree plan offered by our University's Graduate School.
We ask students to see if their question is already answered on our Math Placement Exam webpage.
For issues related to ProctorU - use ProctorU's Support page for direct support.
All other questions may be directed to mathplac@uark.edu and must include the student's name, University ID number, and a detailed description of the issue.
We ask students to see if their question is already answered on our Frequently Asked Questions page.
If additional help is needed, students are encouraged to rely on their instructor as a primary contact for issues in their class. If technical issues persist, contact IT Support, with the student's name, University ID number, the affected MATH or STAT class and section, and a brief description of the issue with any related screenshots; many issues are related to the browser and operating system the student uses, so including that information will be helpful as well.
Technical Support related to BlackBoard is provided by the University's IT Services.
