Public Lecture will take place January 28, 2025, at 7:00 pm in the Science Engineering Building, Room 408.

Summary: Serving as an illustrative introduction into differential geometry and the shapes of space, Flow: a Story of Heat and Geometry is the culmination of years of rewrites and research from my time at ISU and beyond. With a focus and fondness for younger readers, Flow is an opportunity to learn about and work with geometric topics that are both familiar and vague and encourage taking the time to appreciate the intricate structures that make up our surroundings. This public lecture is based on the subject my self-published book of the same name and its materials are available in my personal blog.
